The moon is a round, silvery, luminous disc hanging in the lonely sky. Lasers of moonlight, as bright as diamond-flame, turned the lake aglow like melted platinum. It was as if I am watching a scene from an old fable stepping off the page and I am beguiled by its beauty. The moon hangs mystically low in the sky and a carnivorous shadow is moving gracefully in the light. This night, the deep purple sky that resembles the colour of grapes is clear and only a few stars and constellations are seen in the moonlight.
A silvery lake shimmers in the moonlight. I hear the gentle rippling of currents, a gentle splish splashing; the lake itself was somewhat ill shaped, quiet and serene. It is tranquil, giving a sense of depth and calm, yet it is mesmerising almost like a scene from a dream. The shadow of a creature that is closely associated to the moon is lurking beneath it and quite close to a shimmering silvery lake. The creature is silvery white with a thick coat of fur that moves back and forth in the burst of brushing breeze.
The being is standing erect in the light, casting a visibly clear silhouette. As it stands still and poise, the outline of its figure was clear. From its ivory sharp long claws at the end of its stretched hands and feet to the protruding maw and sharp pointy fangs that looks like shiny flint in the illumination of the moon, it is one the last of its kind, still walking the earth, neither man nor animal. Dark and secretive, the creature will live for a long-time, traversing the highlands and hunting for its survival. The beast wades the moors effortlessly and it knows every swamp and pit well. Well enough to stride through vine-tangled ground nimbly.
