As my barefoot touched the soft velvety sand, I felt the heat prick my nerves. I was already sweating from the rough boat ride on a choppy sea that rocked from side to side making my stomach churn and my head spin. The boat was old and I feared for my safety. It rockbound like a baby’s cradle and I held on to the sides for dear life. Upon approaching this hidden gem in the Carribeans I was mesmerised by the picturesque beauty that made my breath stifle. The sand was velvety white and my feet sunk into it a few inches deep. I brought along only the essentials tucked into one backpack that I lugged on my back. My shoulders stooped from the weight of it. Caressing waves lapped and hit the shore gently. My eyes felt the contrast of the deep blue water against the pearl-white sand.
